Poetry mustn’t be fancy, Mary Oliver said

January 17, 2019 by Jennifer

What a gift she gave us – poetry

generous, grounded, plain,

and true.

I’ve just been reading a book of Mary Oliver’s poems and happened to post this one on Instagram a few days ago. I am grateful for the very many ways her words have met me along this way and am sorry she’s done sharing her wisdom and words with us for now .
