That was the darkest, wettest walk that we have walked in such a long time.

The neighbors trimmed their crabapple treeand now I have to jump to scrump.

Our sun now sets at a respectable time but sadly not for long.

Color, shape, and size are organized to stunning effect in dahlias.

September rain and falling leaves are a familiar sort of comfort.

This weekend marked 7 years (minus 1) living in this far north state.

Standing on a rock in the riverwhere the water runs fast and strong.

How lovely to see the mountains again after days of smoked out views. 

Branches are heavy with apples this year and we have tasted a few.
